The Scaling Founder: A Journey Of Incompetence by Brett Matheson

The Scaling Founder: A Journey of Incompetence is about the part of growth nobody warns you about. Every time the business climbs a level, the founder starts from scratch, incompetent. The work stops feeling familiar, confidence drops, and most founders read that as evidence they’ve built the thing wrong.

Drawn from a decade of conversations across hundreds of businesses in more than twenty countries, the book sets out the patterns business owners move through as they scale beyond themselves, told through the stories of the founders who lived them. You’ll find language for what you’re carrying, and the company of people who have stood exactly where you’re standing.
